All are on the list (I think), but 41-3 whupping of Iowa with Dayne's record was mentioned three times as one of the best. The overtime, late-night victory over Michigan was a helluva game to see in person.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7175152412741471379.post-73903230123429461672009-02-19T08:53:00.000-08:002009-02-19T08:53:00.000-08:00I like the list, but you cannot leave a Rosebowl v...I like the list, but you cannot leave a Rosebowl victory out of the top 10, no matter how crappy the game was. The significance of that game is understated. The badgers won the Big Ten out right that year and were the only big ten team EVER to win back to back Rosebowls. I still wear and old shirt that says so because no coach from Ohio State or Michigan has been able to do it, even with a considerable recruiting advantage. Alvarez is the man! I'll give you that they played down to the competition. In fact, I don't think I remember anything about that game, that's how much of a dud it was. But, it is the first time I can remember the Badgers being so good that they were actually expected to win. A unique situation for them to be sure. When you become the hunted, it is very tough to perform at times. Just ask UCLA, Auburn, Colorado, the Green Bay Packers in 1997...........The Badgers were in a role reversal and they still put the game away in the end. And not just any game, THE ROSEBOWL! In my humble opinion, it must be in the top five on principle alone.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
